Who is the SUN from DOCTOR MI! suitable for?

No matter what gender or skin type - thanks to the optimally coordinated ingredients, the SUN sun cream is suitable for everyone from the age of 3. Since the sun cream does not contain any hormonally active substances, pregnant women can also apply SUN without any concerns.

What are UVA and UVB rays?

UVA and UVB rays are ultraviolet rays - UV rays for short - that reach the earth's surface through the ozone layer. Between 90 and 95% of these are UVA rays, which can penetrate not only window glass but also the dermis of the skin. In doing so, they destroy the upper fibroblasts, which are important proteins for skin stability and the formation of elastin and collagen. UVA rays are therefore largely responsible for premature skin aging. The other 5-10% of rays are UVB rays, which reach the earth's surface and even play an important role in the formation of vitamin D and melanin. In contrast to UVA rays, UVB rays can be blocked by window glass and only penetrate to the epidermis, the upper layer of skin. UVB rays cause sunburn. A sunscreen with UVA and UVB protection is therefore extremely important.

What are the effects of UVA and UVB rays?

UVA rays damage the collagen in the skin and in the long term promote skin aging, wrinkles and loss of elasticity. UVA rays are also often the cause of age spots, pigment disorders, sun allergy, Mallorca acne and skin cancer. UVB rays cause the skin to tan, but are also responsible for sunburn, skin changes, eye damage such as cataracts, mis- and hyperpigmentation and skin cancer.

How can I protect myself from UV rays?

For optimal protection against UV rays, there is a 5-S rule, which consists of these five terms: sun protection, shade, protective clothing, sun hat and sunglasses. With SUN, if used correctly, you benefit from an SPF 50+ and can thus protect yourself excellently against UV rays. You should also prefer shade to sun - but be careful, you can get sunburn here too. With the right clothing, you can also ward off UV rays. The following applies: the darker and more densely woven the textiles, the greater the protection. With a sun hat and sunglasses labeled UV 400, your scalp, eyes, ears and neck are also protected.

What is the difference between mineral or physical and chemical UV filters?

Mineral or physical filters are inorganic filters. The particles they contain absorb, scatter and reflect UV radiation. Chemical UV filters are organic, absorb UV radiation and release it as lower-energy, longer-wave radiation. This enables them to provide greater UVA protection.

How often do I need to apply SUN?

To protect yourself optimally from harmful UVA and UVB rays, you should apply SUN generously and evenly to your skin before sun exposure. Even though our SPF 50+ provides you with a very high level of protection from the sun's rays, we recommend that you repeat the application several times a day, approximately every two to three hours.

Can I use SUN regardless of my skin type?

Yes, SUN is basically suitable for all skin types: from normal skin to sensitive skin to mature skin as well as skin with pigmentation disorders and blemishes.

Why is SUN so well tolerated by the skin?

We deliberately avoid using parabens, silicones, nanoparticles and octocrylene in the formulation of SUN. In addition, SUN is non-comedogenic and has no hormonal effect and is particularly skin-friendly. SUN has been dermatologically tested.

How do I properly incorporate SUN into my skincare routine?

SUN is a highly effective sunscreen that you can easily combine with all DOCTOR MI! care products. It is important that you adapt your care routine to the needs of your skin. In our care routines section you will find the right application for you and your skin. Sunscreen should always be used as the last step in your care routine.

Can I also use SUN with the retinol day cream DAY?

Yes, the TECMi!® retinol contained in DAY penetrates deep into the skin immediately due to its ability to do so, but it makes the skin a little more sensitive to UV rays. It is best to apply SUN daily after the anti-aging day cream DAY, because the sun protection factor 50+ provides ideal care and protection for your skin.

How quickly does SUN sunscreen absorb into the skin?

The SUN sun cream is quickly absorbed after application and is neither greasy, whitening nor sticky.

Where is SUN manufactured?
